CAP's help to Mamasafisulwe Opharnage in Siaya Kenya

Community Advancement Programme has assisted the Mamasafisulwe Opharnage in Siaya Kenya by providing their increasing number of children with:

• Temporary accomodation
• Catering/cooking facilities
• Food and bedding

The Mamasafisulwe Opharnage is an organization registred as CBO MAMA Safi Sulwe Orphans Centre and registered under the Ministry of Culture and Social Services.

Mama Safi Sulwe Centre is a non–profit institution which offers parental home care for HIV/AIDS Orphans and other vulnerable children who are victims of the great poverty in Siaya District.

It is located in an area where the HIV/AIDS prevalence is above 20% and a lot of parents have died from the disease leaving behind infected and non-infected children under the care of their grandparents and relatives. The center also cares for the vulnerable children by way of informal training and HIV/AIDS sensation. The center has also taken in man children who got involved in the drug abuse and got addicted to alcohol.
