A group of Kenyan students studying at Manchester and some of the boys’ parents who accompanied them to the UK formed a sizeable cheering squad for the team

"The Under-12 team won the Plate Cup while the Under-10 team played five games - won three, drew one, and lost one," Yoga said.

Team manager Walter Machio said this was the second time the team was taking part in the tournament.

"We intend to take part in the tournament next year with a much bigger team," Machio said.

A Manchester-based Kenyan businessman Gabriel Rwamba donated a set of training kit to the older team and called for more sponsors to come up and sponsor more Kenyan teams to next year’s festival
