CAP makes 1st delivery of funds at State House
His Excellency President Mwai Kibaki was the guest of honour at an
official ceremony on 30 Aug 2004 to mark the first delivery of funds
raised abroad to help victims of the current famine in Kenya. CAP had
organised various fund raising initiatives that resulted in an amount
of Kshs 1 million being raised. Activities included a fund raising
event in London for Kenyans in the UK and online donations from Kenyans

All funds have been paid into the Red Cross "Save-A-Life" campaign account. The official handing over ceremony was held at State House, Nairobi and guests at the event included Hon Njenga Karume (Minister for Special Programmes, Office of the President), His Excellency Joseph Muchemi (High Commissioner to the UK) Mrs G Rwamba (CAP).
